FCA Motor Finance Compensation Scheme
Important Update
We have now started to contact some customers who have previously complained about motor finance commissions and who are not eligible for compensation.
You do not need to contact us while you wait. We are reviewing all agreements in line with the scheme rules and will contact you if we have an update.
What to look out for
We will contact you via email or letter and we will contact you separately about each agreement you may have with us.
If you contacted us by email:
- Please look out for emails from commissionsqueries@vwfs.co.uk, which will appear in your inbox as VWFSGB Commissions Queries.
- To help keep your information secure, our emails will have a password-protected PDF letter attached to them containing important information about your agreement. This will include details of any next steps and deadlines where needed. Each email will explain how to access your document.
- Please check your junk/spam folders to help ensure you don’t miss our email.
If you contacted us via another channel or if your email is not delivered successfully, then we will write to you in the post.

Being mindful of scams
The FCA has warned that potential scammers may attempt to contact customers offering fake compensation, to try and collect their personal details, such as your name, address, date of birth and bank details.
If anything unexpected comes through - whether a message, call or email - please take care.
If you’re ever unsure if a communication is genuine, you can verify our details on the FCA website. Alternatively, please contact us via email at commissionsqueries@vwfs.co.uk or call us on 0800 912 3569, Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm, excluding UK bank holidays, and we’d be happy to verify this for you.
