New update following the FCA announcement
On 30 March 2026, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published its final outcome on the motor finance redress scheme. We are now reviewing the details and will update this page with more information as soon as possible.
Whilst we review this information, please be mindful of scam calls. The FCA have warned potential scammers may attempt to contact customers offering fake compensation, to try and collect their personal details, such as your name, address, date of birth and bank details.
If any thing unexpected comes through - whether a message, call or email - please take care. Any communication from us on this topic will come from commissionclaims@vwfs.co.uk or commissionsqueries@vwfs.co.uk or via the post. If you’re ever unsure if a communication is genuine please contact us and we’ll be able to verify this for you. If you would like any information on how to help protect yourself from scams, please click here.

What this means for you
The FCA previously placed a complaint handling pause on motor commission complaints until after 4 December 2025. They have now extended this date to the 31 May 2026.
If you’re a non-lease customer who has submitted a commission complaint
If you’ve previously submitted a complaint or claim about motor finance commissions, please be assured that your case remains under review with us unless we have already written to you with a final response letter informing you that your complaint has been closed.
Now the FCA has published its approach to motor finance redress, we’ll be reviewing all existing open complaints and will contact you directly if any further information or action is required.
For further information, please see our FAQs. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
If you’re a lease customer who has already submitted a commission complaint
The FCA announced on the 3 December that customers who used car finance to lease a vehicle will be outside the scope of the FCA’s future redress scheme. This means the pause in coming back to your complaint has now been lifted.
As a result we will be writing to you in the coming weeks. This will be our final response confirming the outcome of your complaint.
If you haven’t complained, but would like to do so
You can submit your motor commission complaint by using the form below. Please include as much information as you can to help us find your agreement. Once you've made a complaint, we will send you an acknowledgement so you know we've received it.
Porsche Customers
For Porsche agreements entered into before 1 July 2010, Porsche finance was provided by Black Horse Limited (trading as ‘Black Horse’). Please redirect your motor commission complaint to Black Horse Motor commission complaints.

I’ve received a call regarding compensation, was this you?
