If you are planning on selling the car and would like to transfer the plan to the new owner please email us at CustomerServices@vwfs.co.uk with the new owner’s name and address. Alternatively, the new owner can send us a copy of the full V5 for us to complete the transfer.
When does the plan expire?
Your Service Plan typically ends when you’ve used all the services included. However, each plan also has a set expiry date.
This expiry date is usually long enough to allow you to use all the services - whether your vehicle follows a flexible or fixed service schedule. To make the most of your plan, services should be used in the order they’re listed and before the expiry date.
If you're unsure about your plan’s expiry or remaining services, please contact CustomerServices@vwfs.co.uk
When can I book my first service?
The Service Plan will be activated 48 hours after purchasing online. You can contact your local retailer or book online to arrange for your Volkswagen to be serviced.

What happens after I have purchased a Volkswagen Service Plan?
Once you have successfully completed your payment, we will send you a confirmation by email. This will include your agreement number, and details of the plan you have purchased. You can then book in for a service when it is due, advising the Retailer that you have a Service Plan, from which they can take payment from us, when it gets to that stage.
What does my Service include?
A service for a petrol, diesel or hybrid engine will include draining and replacing the oil and filter. We’ll check for software updates if needed, and a wash and vacuum at participating Retailers.
For a fully electric vehicle we will inspect the battery and charging cables to ensure they are in good working order. As well as replacing your Pollen filter and changing your Brake fluid.
During inspection if we find that something needs to be replaced, this is highlighted to you, but is not included.
Volkswagen will keep digital records of all services carried out, for peace of mind too.
Is my MOT included?
You can't add MOTs separately, however, some of our plans come with MOTs depending on the age of the vehicle.
Click Get a price and enter your registration number to find out if plans with MOTs included, are available for your vehicle.
When can I claim a tyre replacement?
You can claim tyres anytime during your agreement:
- Due to fair wear and tear or damage
- During an Inspection Service or a standalone visit
- One at a time or both together
