Volkswagen Financial Services UK qualifies for Great Place to Work shortlist

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as one of the best places to work in the UK.

We achieved an overall Trust Index© score of 77% in our recent Great Place to Work survey, which took place in July.

The score is based on feedback from 887 colleagues, representing 80% of the business, and means we surpassed the threshold required to be a Great Place to Work-certified™ organisation.

From here, we are very excited to say that we will now be considered for a ranking in the Best Workplaces Super Large Category, with the final standings announced in April 2023.

What is Great Place to Work?

The Great Place to Work survey is designed to help businesses capture valuable feedback from colleagues and measure employee engagement, trust and wellbeing as well as an organisation's HR and management practices.

We were also shortlisted in last year’s honours, and were ranked as the 18th greatest place to work in the annual Great Place to Work Super Large Category for Best Workplaces in 2021.

We were also recognised as a centre of Excellence in Wellbeing, which is testament to the importance placed on employee wellbeing. Employees are supported with a range of initiatives including a dedicated Wellbeing Centre at our HQ, through to the training of Mental Health First Aiders to help staff struggling with mental health.

Roles at Volkswagen Financial Services UK range from those who handle customers’ queries to those involved with developing new products and services, ensuring the business stays compliant with our regulatory obligations and several other vital jobs.

We are also a passionate advocate of electric vehicles and offer a range of tools and services geared towards educating drivers about the benefits of green travel and helping people make the switch to electric.

What do the experts say?

Our CEO Mike Todd explained that our score is a reflection of the hard work and camaraderie of our workforce.

He said: “We are very proud that our colleague feedback has given us an overall Trust Index© score of 77%, which is two percentage points above the benchmark for the Super Large Category we are compared against.

“One of the greatest features of any workplace is its people, and this result wouldn’t have been possible without the teamwork, dedication and commitment of our hugely talented workforce. Our culture is fuelled by enthusiasm, trust and innovation and I am delighted to see that the collective efforts we have made to ensure that our business is a stimulating, rewarding and supportive place to work have paid off.

“However, there is lots that we can continue to do and we will not rest on our laurels. We’re encouraging all of our employees to keep learning new skills or improve existing ones to meet the demands of an ever-changing world and we also have to make sure that physical and mental health issues have a forum to be discussed in the workplace.”
